Motivation

For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by what makes people tick.

Why did you do that? Where does this behavior come from?
What does this interaction get you?

These questions plagued me and drove me to seek a greater understanding of human cognition and how psychology informs action.

When I began looking into college programs, it became apparent that psychology only had two viable paths at the time: academic research and clinical practice. Thankfully I discovered that Mercer University’s business program would allow you to customize your degree after satisfying a business core. This allowed me to build a unique path to…

applying psychology to business and how we design organizations, systems, products, etc.

Career

I started out in Product Management and was fortunate to be able to move intentionally through UX into CX, Service Design, and ultimately consulting. Over the last 6 or 7 years, my focus has shifted to bigger “ecosystem” problems: innovation, business model transformation, and operating model design.

I consider myself to be a T-shaped expert sitting across a breadth of industries and problems, with a deep knowledge of human cognition driving how I think about building any product, service, or way of working.

Future
I have spent the last year independently consulting for boutique firms in the southeast; mainly focused on innovation and service delivery projects, in addition to helping them build out practice areas and capabilities.

While I greatly enjoy this work, I increasingly desire to return to creating and building things that I can leave my fingerprints on; rather than short-term, advisory work. My happiness is tied to this idea that I am contributing to something greater than myself and I want to leave an impact. Specifically interested in…

  • Building a practice / internal consulting
  • Running R&D work / managing a lab
  • Solving problems others have deemed impossible

I am actively looking for my next full-time opportunity in the innovation or transformation spaces and I would love to chat with you if you feel like any part of my story resonated with you.
